TRIENNALE 2015 - WORKSHOPS WITH OLYMPUS VISIONARIES
Olympus offers in the framework of the Triennale 2015 four photography workshops in Hamburg. These workshops are conducted by 4 Olympus photographer Ralph Man, Frank Fischer, Emiliano Leonardi and Thomas Adorff.
Photography workshop:Fashion Goes Future (professional Fashionshooting)Date: 20/06/2015Ralph Man... … is a carpenter by trade and a self-taught photographer. He has been working professionally for 17 years, nowadays for business clients only. In his work he mainly focuses on people photos (portrait, nude, and beauty), fashion and advertising. Additionally, he works as a photographer and lecturer for the photo industry. |

Workshop contents & structure:In this workshop participants learn how to work with a professional model and a team as well as how to use professional light equipment. A model from a Hamburg agency will support us in this workshop. Theory:

Photography workshop:Elbphilharmonie – The day will comeDate: 21/06/2015Frank Fischer... …Frank Fischer is a passionate photography trainer. He has been sharing his knowledge with other photographers for over 13 years. He is the owner of the nationwide “FF-Fotoschule”. His personal passion is photo journeys during which he can truly push participants photographically. |

Workshop topic:Elbphilharmonie – The day will come |
|
Workshop contents & structure:In this workshop we will discuss how to approach photography conceptually. The images of the Elbphilharmonie shall transport the idea “The day will come”. During a photo walk through the Hafen-City towards the Elbphilharmonie we will conceptually realise the topic together. For this, we will, among other things, include symbols in the picture so that a view of the future and with it the completion of the Elbphilharmonie becomes apparent. To give an example, please imagine an image with an opening flower bud in the foreground and the urban structure of the Elbphilharmonie façade in the background. Of course we will use the camera’s suitable Art Filter so that afterwards we can look at the images directly coming from the camera. Theory:

Who can take part?The workshop is geared towards all photographers and ambitious photographic amateurs who want to deal with the topic of reportage and storytelling. Basic photographic knowledge (aperture, shutter speed, ISO…) is required. |

Photography workshop:Kids & Camera – Fit for FutureDate: 27/06/2015Emiliano Leonardi... … was born in Rome in 1982 and grew up in Bangkok, New York and Cairo. He studied photography at the Open College of the Arts, London, is the European Assistant for the renowned American fashion photographer Steve Thornton and regularly assists the well-known wedding photographer Mike Larson during his work in Italy, France and Germany. The photographer and father offers workshops for beginners, intermediates and children. |
Workshop topic:Kids & Camera – Fit for Future |

Workshop contents & structure:Children are incredibly curious by nature. They see and create their world with their own eyes and often quite differently than grown-ups. This is exactly what Pro photographer Emiliano Leonardi will support them in. The Italian-born helps the young photographers in technology questions as well as with easy tips for better images. With remarkable pedagogical understanding and a lot of fun the youngsters will discover the joy of taking photos. Theory:

What do participants need to bring?Cameras from the OLYMPUS Tough series and SD cards will be provided for this workshop. Robust and if necessary weatherproof clothes and shoes. |

Who can take part?The workshop is ideal for girls and boys aged between 8 and 14 years. A bit of experience with cameras is good but absolute photography newbies can also take part. All participants will have fun discovering new surroundings and taking photos. |

His photographic work is accompanied by a multitude of professional workshops that deal with topics such as creative flash photography, latex and pin-up, among others. Thomas Adorff can look back on many years of studio work. |

Workshop contents & structure:In this workshop participants learn to take creative studio shots without Photoshop. This includes the deliberate breaking of rules in order to astound with new effects. Besides working with flashes, different light formers and the model, Thomas Adorff will reveal many tips and tricks from his daily work and the various areas of photography. Theory:
